I get this error any time I try and play a movie that a friend burns for me to SVCD format using Nero. If the original file is small enough he can just send me the file on a data cd and it runs fine. ANy ideas?

After installing XP on my IBM labtop... used to have Win 200... I cant play dvd's..?? The error says I need a decoder?

I can play MPEG 2 but can't play MPEG3. WMP9 says its searching for a Codec and then errors with C00D11CD. Other internet resources state that an external application is causing the problem. I've shut down all processes and services that I can as well as updated my video drivers ...
