Can not play a WMA file from office -- received a C00D0BC2 error code. The only change to my system (recently) was loading RealOne player version 2. Is this causing the problem? Will I have to uninstall RealOne?

When I attmpt to play a CD in D drive, Windows Media starts with following message displayed "mmsystem282-the parameter is out of range for the specified command". The result is no sound . It does display some form of colorful visual image on the screen What might the problem be?
