To Chris Lanier:  What decoder?  What is that? How do I find this?  Where?  Yes, mpgdec.ax exists in 5 places in my system (4 in 321 Studio's DVD X-Copy program)
I think PowerDVD is at the root of this problem (this is on my Dell)

When I click on a video link, windows media player no longer opens up and plays the video. Instead, the file is dowloaded and then I have to copy and paste the URL to windows media player to open and play it.  How do change the settings so that the videos will play automatically ...

I recently intalled XP home and since then media player 9 only plays a
portion of the clips. Should I uninstall and reinstall media player 9?  I
don't have a problem with playing music cd's.
