I am trying to use a plugin monitor off of my HP Laptop.  
I get the media player and vidio as well as sound on the
laptop.  I get the media player on the plugin monitor but
no vidio plays.

am i not able to play this at all? i don't even see this id error no. in the list of errors that can be encountered.

Media player 9 will not show .asx video files. It starts
them as sound files, but no video. The problem is that it
worked fine last week until a power blip.

When I try to run Windows Media Player to play an .avi clip on my hard drive, I get  "Windows Media Player has encountered an unknown error."
I'm running Windows XP Home.
Windows Media Player is Version 9.00.00.3075
Media Player runs just fine on other .avi clips.

Before, the media player would automatically give me
information (Track titles, cover art) when I inserted a
pre-recorded CD.  All options to allow this were checked
and never changed.  Now the player doesn't update

I can't view any streaming video from any site with WMP9 (latest update, running on WXP.)  One site as an example that doesn't work: http://bennyhinn.org/media/2004-4-2-150.asx   (*.asx definitely selected as a supported file extension, under *.asf, I believe.)  The error message ...

I keep getting the following error message when I try to play any type of streaming media. Have tried using the run programme and using the mplayer2.exe, which does work, but for whatever reason it doesn`t want to know.
Am running WMP 9 on  Windows XP.

my windows media player is not working properly its telling me there is an error in C00D1169 dont know wat that is but all i want to know is how to get rid of it becuase all i want is to listen to the radio from certain websites thank you

i just made the jump from xp home to xp pro, and after re-
installing everything, i now find i can not access my
home network. i have run my router program, and the xp
pro network program on all the computers. the other two
