when i try to open a media file, it tells me that it can't play any items in this playlist. when i right click on the item it won't give me the option of viewing the error details. what's up?

I put another sound device (1) in my onboard
CPU (2), unninstalling the onboard chip. That's fine,
my computer is playing any sound, in any software
except by WMP 9, this soft don't play any sound.

For quite some time, now I've been having trouble burning CDs.  First, I slowed the speed from fastest to 8X, then from 8X to 4X, 4X to 2X, and 2X to 1X.  Now, though, the CD burner doesn't even work.

When attempting to play a .mpg file I get "Classfactory cannot supply requested class" and when help is selected after the error occurs the only suggestion Microsoft has is this forum.

Hi, Ive only downloaded a few songs off of the internet,
the program came with the computer when i got it, and
I've just tried to open the program and it dings at me,

I am unable to play a dvd.  The error says that my DVD region is set for region 8 and should be region 1.  I cannot play the DVD unless the region is changed.  How do I change this?

Player 9  I get an error message that says wmburn.exe has
generated errors and will be closed by windows.  You will
need to re-start the program.  An error log has been

Whenever I play a movie, my windows media player just
shows a black screen but I can hear the movie playing. If
I switch between programs really fast, the video appears
for a split second but then it goes back to black.
