The sound on my media player will not play. My computer it needs a sound card...

Every time i try to watch a dvd in my laptop using windows media player or any other dvd player, i get a message that says the dvd cannot be viewed. The dvd works on other computers and in regular dvd players. I don't know what's wrong...someone please help me.

compression rates (48Kbs, etc.)? Media Player 7.0 doesn't  
give you the option of copying anything at less than 64
