Player used to play all types of media till updates were downloaded. Now it will play files or cds but not dvds. Error message reads 'Windows has encountered a problem and will shut down' Thanx in advance !!

when i am trying to burn my cds certain songs that i have brought off of the internet (specifically from the wal mart site) will not burn.. it says something about not having the right to burn it....im not sure why it does that..i paid for the song...someone plz help

Yes I have the same problem. However I had to reinstall XP over an existing instilation and the error started occuring when I deleted the directory of the old user account for the previous instillation of XP. I would appreciate a different solution to the one Chris keeps offering ...

Receive error C00D002B when trying to play audio clips from bn.com, amazon.com, etc. Have WindowsMedia player 9x, running Windows XP. Occurs even after disabling Norton Internet Security. Did not disable firewall in router. Will appreciate any suggestions.
