Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly.

I too have updated to the new media player 9 and the
proplem I have with it is that i'm unable delete files
that the media player has loaded from other files on my
hard drive. The only option I got to remove these files

i purchase the dvd "standing in the shadows of motown" zone 2 and i can't read the wmvhd version
the start.hta file seems to be full of scrip errors and when i try to launch the shadows720.wmv file wmp9 could not find the drm license

Windows Media Player does not let me play MP3 files or music CD's. I am getting this message: "Cannot play back the audio stream: the audio format is not supported"

I keep getting an error everytime I open a file. It says: "Windows Media
Player has detected a problem and will be shut down". In Spanish: "Windows
Media Player ha detectado un problema y debe cerrarse."
Then the program shuts down, so I can't see any file at all.

We just moved to a new house and re-set up our computer and now none of the sound is working at all on any programs.  I tried to open some of the sound controls but none would open so i tried playing some music on windows media player and it said my sound wasn't functioning ...

I recently upgraded my windows media player to version 9
for win98se. I previously can play streaming media
(radio)  when I had media player 7.1 but now I can't so I
decided to downgrade back to my original version(7.1).

I sometime time ago downloaded the updates to windows media player 9
I never really checked to see if it played cd's until recent.
I get the error in both cd drives = error while reading in digital mode,
switching to analog mode.

click on it now and get the hourglass for a few seconds
then nothing happens, won't even open.  Same when I try

everytime I try to play a mpeg video, I get the C00D11CD error. I normally get the
error when I try to move the progress bar a couple of minutes ahead. What must I do to eliminate this probably?
