when I try to play music using windows media player 9 version, on XP Home edition, an error message pops us saying class not registered when I went to the help button it gave the number 80040154, it will not play any music at all that message just pops up each time.  Pleas help.

I was trying to connect to an online radio server based on Shoutcast but I couldnt do so with Windows media player which gave error message:
Error code no: 80040111
Class factory can not supply requested class.
However, I am able to connect to same server with Winamp.

I can burn a slide show to a dvd .. and my dvd player
works fine.. on the movie maker.. the cd dose not  work
the cd is fine .. cause i tested it  back on my
computer.. do I need a dvd player that is hmt compatable

Just a quick note to say thanks, you were right the problem was not with the media player but with the video drivers.

I was trying to load a MPG file in Windows Media Player. {As far as I know I have the newest up to date version of WinMedia}. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First off these are not new files. I've had them archived
for a long time and they always played properly. Even the
test files on the WMP codec page do not work?!?!? But
he's a another usual occurance If WMP9 is not open and I
