I am trying to download a song from the internet but I keep getting the code 80040154, how can I fix it

I have done everything that I can think of twice.
Windows Media Player will not acknowledge that my MPIO player is connected and keeps coming up "Unknown Error."
I have taken everything off twice and put everything on again.  My friend and I have followed the manual to the letter.
