I feel like a real dummy but I cannot find an option to
stop version 9 from loading up and displaying itself on

"Windows Media Player has encountered an unknown error."
The web help told me it was C00D11CD...what does it mean and how can I fix it?

I needed the option of choosing between analog and
digital under driver settings for the media player.
This was possible with Windows 98.  Since upgraded to XP
(home) and I no longer have the option. Feedback?
