Hey, i was wondering why this error popsup 80040154 when i try to play a movie, im using windows medi player 9 on windows ME the that it opens with is .avi

I am currently running Windows XP Professional and Windows Media Player 9 and the latest version of DirectX.  There are no updates required by any of the three programs.

I can't play .avi files in Windows Media Player 9 or 6.4. I have divx and ffdshow installed. This only started to happen after I installed XP SP2 RC2. Even after I uninstalled SP2, with SP1 avi's still don't play.
