windows media player does not recognise any of my cd
drives ( no device detected hit f5 to refresh )is the
error i get . I know my drives are working perfectly ,

Help, I can't download any music files at all. My system is XP and I have already downloaded and installed WMP 9.0.

I also encountered this error several times afte downloading Walmart music and attempting to upgrade DRM.
Here is what I did:
1) Disable Windows XP firewall protection (did not solve it)
2) Uninstalled Proxyconn software (for internet speed up). This worked.

hey i tried to play a song in WMP (version 9), im on an XP machine, and i got the following error "the input media format is invalid". i went to the webhelp and i got this code thing "C00D0BB8" no idea whats going on but if somebody could help me i'd appreciate it very much

I install the nimo codec pack,
after which media player refuses to play mp3 files
(it does play wma files)
these are the steps I took to handle the problem:
