When I go to copy files onto a cd, I get this Error#.

One day I was playing music on WMP and the next thing that comes up is it cannot play because the Audio Codec is not installed. Can somebody help me please???????

My error message says, "cannot play back the audio stream: no audio hardware is available, or the hardware is not responding."
This happened as a result of installing Windows XP professional over the Home version.  The OS seems not to see the sound card.
