I am having a little problem I have Windows Media Player v 9 and when
I come to play back a movie I can not increase the brightness or any
of the facilities in Enhancements/Video settings the sliders just
spring back to the middle with no increase or decrease.

it has occured while using two mp3s while the others worked fine these just don work.

Six minutes into a video an error message displays "data error (cyclic redundancy check)" and freezes the CD.  Any ideas.  Running on Windows XP.  Have tried on several lap tops and get same message.

when I opened a .asf file from windows media player 9.0, it saids :
