Since we use our computers more and more for different things like listening to audio books, I was wondering if there is a way to bookmark a certain stop point when listening to media files in media player?

Everytime i go to play a mvoie on my media player 9 it takes me to a blue screen and then my pc reboots it is making me very frustrated because ic ant figure it out any help please?????????
