I installed Windows XP from scratch, using a slipstreamed SP2 CD, with
Windows Media Player and its codecs (normally included with XP) left out of
the install disc.
I tried to download WMP 9 from Microsoft, and when I tried to install it, it

Every time I try to open a Windows media(wmv) file I get this code. Unable
to open any of it. IE.......no audio or video. Is ther a file/driver I need?

On my desktop when trying to play a DVD I get the message, no DVD Decoder
present. Is there any good freeware available that will enable this feature.

I recentliy installed the Converter Software mpegable x4 live from
www.mpegable.com. After this, I was no longer able to view my avi Files with
the Media Player (and Mediastudio Pro).

I am trying to run a 1.9 GB .mpg file in media player series 9, But
mediaplayer tells me "error downloading codec" Does anybody have any solution
to this problem. Do I have to install some special codecs or something.
