i have many versions of a song as it evolved while being

Win XP Home, WMP 9.0. Player has stopped playing my MP3 files. It looks like
it's playing but there is no sound and no error message. I'd sure like to
get this working again. Any ideas?

thought that maybe all my licenses had been corupted so I tried downloading

my media player does not play mp3's. They start they stop.
Any suggestions????
Other media players are also effected by this problem.
I dan download a file then play it on another computer.
