Has MSFT stated why WMP 10 is not supported for Windows 2000?

Okay i've recently upgraded to Wm 10 because the updater said that it's the
newest thing so of i go. then The specified module popup well popped up and
now i'm left not being able to play anything on wm10 don't have any problems
with mplayer2. i've tried reinstalling wm10 and ...

i get a message (The services cannot be started either because it is disabled
or because it has no enabled devices associated with it ) i can play cds on
both drives with wmp but will not record

I am having troubles viewing the video content via
windows media player when I connect it to a TV (the sound
works fine though). I have all the necessary a/v cables.

My Windows Media Player is not working properly. The
audio from my music files sounds garbled, distorted, and
lacks crispness.The audio remains the same regardless of

The check of Option 'Fit Player to Video on start' is turned on.
A player will not be expanded if video is played when the player has not
started yet.
It will expand, if the player has already started.

I just downloaded bought a lot of music from napster, then i tried to
transfer it my MP3 player and it came up with the message "The specified
module could not be found". What does this mean? I really would like to get
these tracks onto my MP3 player or my money has been wasted.

Having some trouble with my media player cause when I want to watch a dvd on
my pc I get an error what says: Cannot play this DVD because a problem with
the digital copiesecuratie. I know I need some dvd decoders but cant find any

msg when i try to play a mpeg file on my pc. I had been using wmp 9 up until
i upgraded (although upgraded doesnt seen such a good word at the moment for
me) and i had no problems with it when playing ...

When I try to copy music to my MP3 player I get an error.  It states that
Windows Media player detects an unknown error.  The number is C00D11CD.  The
media player version is 9, and my operating system is Windows 2000
professional.

I'm completely computer illiterate and got the above error message for the
last four tracks of a live album I'm tryna copy to cd - something about a pin
connection, it said. Do any of you have any ideas about this?

This message always appears when i try to play wmv's  " Classfactory cannot
