Whenever I use WMP10 (this did this in the 9 version also), and click on the progress bar (the one that moves along as the song progresses) button as a song is playing, it almost triples the volume of the music; sometimes this is very loud. It does not do this using any other ...

I'm trying to run .AVI format video through Windows Media Player 9, under
Windows 98. When I do, the bar containing green text on the bottom left of
the screen tells me that WMP is 'locating codec server', 'sending request for
codec' and finally that that there is an 'error ...

I'm trying to play a video a friend has sent me. I need to run the video by
Media Player only. Each time I try to access the video I keep getting

One would think after quite a few versions of WMP that WMP 10 would finally
support CD text.  Perhaps not burn, but at least be able to read it.

I'm trying to burn a copy of songs that a friend of mine made, but when I put
a new CD-R into the drive, it tells me that I can't copy the songs I've
selected, with the error message, "Windows Media Player cannot perform the
requested action at this time."  What's wrong with this ...
