I have downloaded something on here reccommended for playing videos that get codec errors and that has helped but now I get an error with codec that plays the video but i get no sound and it also doesnt allow me to load the video into windows movie maker. Can anyone help?

Using XP with WMP 9.0.0.3075 I now get no video with MPEGs. AVIs are OK. Mplayer2, BSPlayer give no trouble. Examples of my MPEGs play OK on other computers. Problem seems to have occured after installing software from a video camera, but am not 100% on this.

hello, im trying to run a normal .mpg file but i get "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player does not support the format you are trying to play." why is this? i have the codec for the movie but it wont play :/ it's saying that it's not supporten, why?
