the message window media player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. if you typed a url in the open url dialog box, try usind a different transport protocol.

I was trying to watch a video off the internet and got this error right after I upgraded to SP 2. What do I need to do to be able to view the video. I run Win XP with media player 10 beta.

Just "upgraded" to WMP10 last night. All MP3s are skipping. I changed all ctmp3.acm files to .bak files per the FAQ, but problem still there.

When I double click on an MP3 or WMA it will look like its playing but there will be no sound. If I stop and play it will still be silent. I can only get sound if I pause and then play or if I drag the seek control. This has only recently happened.
