Internal Application error after installing SP225 Sep 2004 05:53 GMT1
This seems to be a common problem that MS have not
bothered to release a fix for.
After installing XP-SP2 Windows Media Player does not
work "An internal Application error has occured"

I recently tried to access wmp.but it seems to have
disappeared.I have tried reinstalling but I get so far
and I receive this message.

Question
Windows media player will not play mpegs. Some of them
start to play and others save that the media type is not
recognized. All the files are saved as mpeg (not QT or RP)

Hi guys, I just did a clean install of XP, D/Led WMP10, and copied my music
files to my HD, then ran add files from WMP. WMP generated copies of most of
the songs, then renamed the copies according to the track number/title,
instead of what I had named them. What's going on here?

I have no idea what is going on. Whenever i try to listen to a cd or
downloaded music a pop up window would come up and then go before i can read
it.

I created a wmv file with still pictures and music using
Windows Movie Maker. After I saved it to my computer I
played it back in Media Player 10. It played fine until

The green bar that grows from left to right when a file is playing, I am
referring to that as the track bar.  Why is it that when I click on that
bar-to skip to a specific point in the song, for example-the volume increases

When trying to play a movie, I get an unknown error.  Media player requests a
codec and then it says failed to download codec.  How can I find out what
codec is needed to play the file?  I believe it is MPEG.  Title also contains
TS SVCD.

its so annoying. i know its not the program itself cos i used 2 have real
player and that kept doing it until i deleted it.i think it may be linked

When are you people going to get it and answer the question correctly and
completely.  Can you not tell us you have a bug problem.  Do you have to be
to evasive...we are not all techs like you.  So tell us what is the problem
with Media Player 9 and what are the resolutions?????? ...

I had install service pack 2 and windows media 10,
everything was working fine.  Nothing was out of hand.  
Until I came some media requirement sites,  but it was
detecting that I don't have "windows media 9"  I'm like

Sometimes when I shut down windows media player,
the music keeps playing, and I will have to shut it down
manually using the windows task manager to shut
