Question Windows media player will not play mpegs. Some of them start to play and others save that the media type is not recognized. All the files are saved as mpeg (not QT or RP)

Hi guys, I just did a clean install of XP, D/Led WMP10, and copied my music files to my HD, then ran add files from WMP. WMP generated copies of most of the songs, then renamed the copies according to the track number/title, instead of what I had named them. What's going on here?

I have no idea what is going on. Whenever i try to listen to a cd or downloaded music a pop up window would come up and then go before i can read it. Can someone please help me?

When trying to play a movie, I get an unknown error. Media player requests a codec and then it says failed to download codec. How can I find out what codec is needed to play the file? I believe it is MPEG. Title also contains TS SVCD.
