Before Chris gives me the standard response of how to set the region code using the Properties menu of the DVD drive, let me say that 1) I understand how that works; and 2) my Plextor drive is set to region 1 and I am using WMP 10.

When I try to play a DVD with Media player, versions 9 or 10, it drops my screen resolution from 1024x768 to 800x600. I also run it at 32 bit color and 60 Hertz refresh rate. My default DVD player, InterVideo's WinDVD, plays at 1024x768 with no problem. I've got a pretty good ...

When I download tracks for one artist, I then transfer them into 'My Music' from the folder they've been downloaded into. Quite often, though not always, not all the tracks that I've transferred into 'My Music' appear to make it into WMP.

Windows media player will not play mpegs. Some of them start to play and others save that the media type is not recognized. All the files are saved as mpeg (not QT or RP) any suggestions?
