I have wmp9 on my xp-pro laptop, however when i clicked check for updates it did not find any even though wmp10 is out. If i download 10 will it auto replace 9 or will i have 2 versions on my laptop?

After installing Service Pack 2, my media player has lost the ability to copy musuc files to a CD. In fact it doesn't reconise the burner(which playes VD's just fine incidently) at all.

I formed a playlist and added 22 items to it Later I opened the application again and I wanted to add another item to the list and it wont save it to the playlist. I'm adding the item correctly so why wont it save my changes???

I have Media Player 9 series, and whenever i attempt to play a music cd or any mp3s, the playlist comes up, then each file turns red with an orange exclamation point in front and an error appears claiming "Class not registered."

Can I use the WMP to create a library of my audio CD collection. I just want to store the CD titles, song lists so that I would be able to search a particular song or singer offline. I do not want to rip the songs and store them as MP3 or WMA. Thanks a lot for your answers ...
