Installed wmp 9 under Windows 98 SE. I can play a clip ok, but wmp exits to
error window when I click exit. Restarts ok, but it does this with every clip
which is annoying.

i'm having the same problem, WMP10 opens at start up, tried removing it from
start up folder, tried Ad aware, tried spybot, for some reason i cannot run
the msconfig to see if that works, i cannot reinstall it because i cannot

I'm getting the 80040154 error using WMP 9 in ME, I went to the link Chris
provided and tried installing over the top and also tried installing WMP 7
"install all components" mode but keep getting a "setup failed" error.

I am using WMP 10 and have had it for a while.  Recently, every time I try
and use it, the screen that shows up when you open it for the very first time
(privacy options/file types) comes up.  When I click next twice for it to go
