I'm now using Media Player 9 Series.
I've downloaded Smallville series via online. The message appeared is:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to
play the file could not be found."
WMP 10 crashes when trying to stream audio or video22 Oct 2004 05:35 GMT1
Whenever I try to stream audio or video, WMP 10 tries to connect for about 60
seconds or so, then crashes.  I get an error code of 0xc0000005.  I can play
media already on my hard drive or from a CD/DVD just fine.  If I set up Media
Player 6.4 to stream instead, it also works ...

The disk I am trying to play says region 1 on its inner rim- the film "Das
Boot".
WMP says I'm set to region 8 please change to region 1.
In cd-rom properties it says I'm set for region 1 and I am allowed 4 more

When I try to use my windows media player(9) an error appears saying I either
dont have a sound device installed or it isnt functioning properly. Any ideas

I have WMP v 10.00.00.3646.  I have gone through the tools/options/devices
troubleshoot, but there are only options for ripping and playback not
burning.  So far, WMP is the only available option I have to play a
particular song- other players don't read it.  I desperately wish ...

anything yet that can actually FIX the problems.

Hi, I'm using WMP10 and I'm trying to play a video file off the net.  When I
click on it it downloads a codec but then comes up with the message:
"Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher."
