According to the Help file in my MP9 player, clicking
View and Enhancements should offer speed controls
for a file being played. There is no such option in
my player, however, and checking MS for updates indicates

I'd like to request a new feature for the next windows media player
that I know a lot of other people would also like. If another
application has a file locked (for write access for example), windows
mediaplayer should open the file in READ only mode or something

I have just down loaded Media Player 9 and have been trying to veiw AVI files
on it but there is no picture coming up on the screen.  Does anyone have any
ideas as i have recieved no error message about this.  I have been able to

I am trying to remove tracks off my MP3 player, however those the have a 'write-protection' cannot be removed.  This is error number 80070013.  Please help me! How can I lift the protection?

I have legally downloaded various audio books.
some play other don't. (example) 1of 2 will & 1of4 will not.
It took a lnog time to download these and it would be nice
to have them play in sequence.

On a Win XP SP2 box.
Are Windows Media 10 Codecs *for DVD* available.  I searched on the site and
found codecs downloadable for WMP 9 but not 10.  I didn't see any listed for
DVD.  Are there none for 10?

I am running Windows XP Media player 10.  When I load a CD it shows the
tracks and the album, but i can't play either a cd or dvd.  under options all
of the file types are checked and my computer sees and says my cd/dvd drive
is working fine.
