Hi folks, wondering if you could perhaps me out with a strange little thing.  
I'm trying to play a .wmv file, but Windows Media Player  8, Windows Media
Player 6.4 and Windows Media Player Classic  6.4.8.2 all flatly refuse to
play it, giving me the message above.

I recently downloaded windows media player 10. I have encountered some
problems that causes my computer to crash. When trying to uninstall WMP 10,
it says: do you want to roll back to WMP 9? If I click ok, it says it failed

really not knew at this but it says exactly when i try to copy to removable
disk(d:) that windows media player doesnt detect any storage media in the
selected device.insert media into device... its really annoying..oh and i use
roxio cd creator..or something like that..please ...

I am having problems, with media player renaming my files incorrectly. i try
to rename them and put them back to where they are suppose to go, but it wont
allow me to change the file name. Anyone know how to fix this? thanks much

you have more than one DVD/MPEG-2 decoder installed at the same time.  It's a

No sound plays thru speakers in Win Media Player 10 when I try to play CD or
video content. Same sounds/music CDs work fine with iTunes player, Creative
Labs Player. Speakers work just fine. Can hear Windows start-up sounds and

I haven't been able to play any .mpg files emailed to me.  I keep getting
this error message.  Can anyone enlighten me as to what is causing the
