WMP10 License Lost31 Jul 2005 23:56 GMT6
I have managed to delete by accident (or sheer stupidity) all licenses (inc
back up) for Window Media Player (10) which allows music bought on line to
be downloaded.
As I realised long after the delete happened, restoring XP to a previous

ugly picture with short videos using WMP.  It's like watching a negative.
When I try to use other software, I don't get any sound.  I don't understand
this.  I'm running WMP 10.  I recently had to ...

Video Pop-Ups31 Jul 2005 15:59 GMT1
You know how in the media guide you can search for songs and then play them?
Well with certain videos, when I try to play them instead of playing in the
media player, the website of its origin (such as music.yahoo.com) pops up
with a window playing the video. Is there anyway to ...
Minimal Border Configuration31 Jul 2005 15:59 GMT1
Is there a way to:
1)  Configure WMP so that it has minimal borders on all 4 sides and a small
control bar at the bottom (kind of like a Macromedia Flash Projector)?
2)  Automatically force a configuration like that when a wmv file is played?
Cannot Sort In Media Player31 Jul 2005 15:58 GMT1
Media Player 10. All the help says you can sort the Library by clicking on
the gray bar for the column to sort by, but it does not work. I am familair
on how to do this in Excel, and the gray bar shows a down arrow or up arrow
based on what was toggled by clicking on the gray bar.

Playing a WMV file31 Jul 2005 13:16 GMT3
I have a subscription to some IT training wmv video files which I can
download and the provider has required that a license has to be obtained
before I can play the files. This is not a problem as I have a valid
subscription. I would now like to join or convert these files using ...
Totally Confused - WMP 10 Can't play MIDI or MPEG files (amongst others) !!!31 Jul 2005 11:46 GMT4
I keep getting the message that the file type is not supported and I am
using basic file types such as MID and MPEG.
There are plenty of codecs on my system that support MPEG decoding.
Any idea how to get this working again would be much appreciated.
AutoFavorites: Have not heard recently.  Changing "recently"31 Jul 2005 09:55 GMT1
I'm new to Media Player.  I like the Auto Playlists, but wonder how long
"recently" is in "Haven't heard recently."  It seems to be a couple days.
Can I change it to, say, a couple months or more?
