Hey all..
   I recently downloaded Windows Media Player 10 and for a time it did
fine. Now it will play on some files. However I have DVD's here I like to
watch on my Computer when my dad is thru with the DVD Player. After playing

I recently installed Media Player 10 (upgraded from 9), and lost the ability
to connect to *any* streaming content, both audio and video. *All* streaming
content from such sites as movies.msn.com, or WMP streaming audio samples
from Amazon.com, etc... all result either a hang ...

I have a problem seeing video in WMP. If I want to see, for example,
http://www.fortwilliamworldcup.co.uk/downloads/ClarkinFWWC04.wmv, I can see
it using AVI Movie Player 4.8 (downloaded via download.com). In WMP I just
see a blank screen and hear the audio. This is the same in ...

I'm running Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2, with Windows Media
Player 10 (it was OEM installed, although I installed service pack 2 myself).
My videos play fine most of the time. But then, suddenly, I'll try to play
(from a private folder) or try to download... an MPEG ...

Every time I try to uppgrade my Windows Media Player I get a message saying
"Could not find freeaddrinfo in DLL-file W32_32.dll"... Whats wrong?

When i load XP it says that my CD recording software isnt working properly so
it has been disabled.  And since that message has came up i cant find windows
media played anywhere on my computer either.  Any help?

my foo fighters cd plays fine on my cd player but after i ripped it onto the
computer, it skips and sounds like its chinese gangsta rap. what the heck is
wrong?????????????????????

In the past used my Media player to burn CD's, no problems..great!  All of a
sudden I can download my music on CD's BUT they will NOT play on any other
device but my computer.    What could be the problem?

Just noticed in the past few weeks that wav files won't play in WMP as usual.
They will "run" in that I see the visualzation thing moving and it has a
duration (the bar moves along as the file is processed.)  But no audio comes
out.  I can play them in quicktime (weak) and in ...

WMP10 on XPSP2 Pro box.  No matter what ripped selection I try I get a
monologue from a commedian not on WMP.   I cannot hear the music sound.

I have downloaded some .asf files but Windows Media Player only saves the
links.  I want to save them to my hard drive but there is no appropriate
'device' in the Items On Device drop-down.  

Friends - I would like to be able to set the player screen size and have it
stay that way, not reduce or enlarge with media size. Thanks, Bob

Unable to activate movies in MP9. Has worked many times before. Don't know
how to troubleshoot this.
