I have Windows Media Player 10 and at times videos will not play at all.  I
was wondering is anyone else having this problem and is there anything that
can be done about it????

I have a Windows 2003 Server running Terminal Services.  The *.wav file type
used to be associated with the Sound Recorder that is a standard part of
Windows.  Somehow, Windows Media Player became associated with the *.wav

When I insert a music CD into my PC WMP retrieves info about the disc such
as Title, Artist, Tracklist etc from the internet.
When I insert a DVD I always see "unknown DVD", even when I select retrieve

When I view video in WMP v.10, the video will start, about 5 to 10 seconds
into it, the picture will turn black but I can still hear the audio.  What's
going on here?

I have a machine that turns itself on (and off) automatically and whose sole
purpose is to play an Internet Radio Station.  It loads WMP - but I still
have to click the play button - I don't have to type in the URL or anything,
just click on the play button.

I believe that MPEG 1 & 2 are specific to whether the source was PAL or NTSC.
If I encode an MPEG 1 (using Cinemacraft encoder basic) clip with embedded
sound from a PAL source (Avid Express DV) and EMail this to UK destinations,
their Windows Media Players happily plays it.

My problem seems to be computer specific as I am now listening to the
streaming audio on another computer using windows media, so I know the audio
is ok.
