I get an error when trying to view DVDs in MS Media PLayer. The first error

I installed the security fixes released on 8/10/05. Since then I can not
connect to streaming servers such as, bbcnews.com, wbur.org, etc. I am
running XP Pro with all latest patches and fixes, IE 6 and Windows Media
Player 10. The error is as below.

Why does all the music CD's I put in my CD drive show on WMP as "Unknown
Artist and Unknown Album"  no matter what album I put in.  If I rip a few
songs to my library they all show up as Unknown.

I have an asp file that acts as an asx file.  The file also increments
a database driven counter for each song that is played. When I
implement the script, it always runs twice, and the db stats kept
incrementing by 2 instead of 1.

it plays movies and all and still does all the other functions it just wont
ply sound...and my sound works seeing as how i can play music threw my real

Does anybody know if the "Monitor Folders" option in WMP9 AND WMP10
will detect new files added when WMP is not running?  i.e. does it only
monitor while running or does it inspect the monitored folders after
being started up for changes that too place when not running?
