Which video files formats can play Windows Media Player 9.0 without
installing any additional codecs?(on default Windows XP installation).

I've just reinstalled XP Home and downloaded all the Windows updates, but for
some reason I don't have a miniplayer option in WMP10. I thought this came
built in to the player - can someone tell me how I can enable/install it?

I downloaded a couple of large AVI files using a bit torrent client.  When I
open them, I get the message "error downloading codec"... then I only get

I recently got a new PC (Windows XP).  In the past, when I was surfing and
wanted to view a video on a web page, I could click on it and Windows Media
Player would launch and show the video.
now, it launches in a web page.

Music keeps playing even when I close the window. Task Manager says WMP is
shut. Have to stop music when I exit to get it to stop.
How do I fix?!?!
