When I try to play certain video files like .avi, the media player shows a
message saying that I don´t have the right codec to play the movie and that I
should install it, but I don´t know wich codec is needed. How do I know wich
one is the one I need?

I can play my new cd on my car and personal cd player.    But when I try to
play it on my computer,it goes to the internet and tells me that I cannot
listen to it unless I go to this webpage.  I don't want to go on the
internet, I just want to listen to the music.

I'm using WMP 10 on Windows XP SP2.  I am in a rural area with only dial-up
service (28.8).  Is this the reason I don't get any streaming video on the
net - just audio with still pictures changing occasionally?
