Whenever I use media player, it has no sound.  Sound works fine on other
applications.  Using Windows XP Pro and Media Player 10.

how do i reduce the 2 second void between tracks,when i burn an audio cd with
media player. and/or burn a audio cd as heard,on media player,after tweeking
the crossfade.any info.appreciated it's driving me nuts.

Using Media Player. Songs copy fine to computer. However when copying to my
MP3 player it seems to recognize album as "unknown" or copies over one
already on the player. It fails to list the album on right hand side (for MP3
player) or removes the last one.  As if it thinks new ...

my media player wont read blank cdr's but will read every thing else i.e cdrs
with small amounts of data dvdr dvdrw and since i got media player 10 it wont

WMP10 does not appear in my 'add/remove programs' list although it it
obviously on my computer.  I really have to remove it to use some old
software I have that will not work with wmp10 (though it will work with wmp9)

I have a new Dell computer running WINXP Pro.
When I insert a music CD the tracks show up in WMP with artist name etc.
When I select Rip I get the following message:
Windows Media Player cannot rip the track because a compatible MP3 encoder

Purchased a new Dell desktop.  When you minimize WMP10 it does something
"different".  The minimized program is actually "running" has controls stop,
play start etc and shows a little "windows" of whats playing.
How was that done want this feature on another non dell computer?

I am trying to burn a CD. I have been having trouble for a few days. Now
there appears to be ! next to my songs and they wont play. Media player just

Hello fellow computer users =)
I've tried buring five cd's, FIVE in the last hour or so and none will burn
properly. I've even tried cleaning the drive with the disk cleaner thing.
I've tried using Windows Media Player 10 (which burns either a hand full of
