When I attempt to run windows media player from the menu bar or any shortcut
to it all i am told is "an internal application error has occurred" I have
tried upgrading media player I now have media player 10 installed this makes
no difference.  How can I make it run again.  ...

I am trying to play a Windows Media Audio/Video file.  When I try to open it,
there is states that it is "sending a request for codec".  
Then this error message pops up "An audio codec is needed to play this file.
To determine if this codec is available to download from the Web, ...

I can rip cda files to mp3, but when I try to burn mp3 to CD-R it get
converted to wma without any warning.  I think I have all settings to mp3.
Any ideas?

Hi.  I used to have the setting where when i minimized wmp 10 that a little
player would pop up down by the taskbar (where the clock is).  And now it
doesn't anymore.  I can't seam to remember how to change this setting.  If

The tool bar on the bottom of the screen doesnt disappear anymore in full

I can't add files to the Media Player 10 Library because it says the files
are too small.  I change the settings in the options library tab to 1 kb but
still can't add any files no matter what the size.

Having technical difficulty with WMP 9 and MusicNow but before I go on I just
want to know if "Windows Media Player" appears on your Add/Remove Programs
list from Settings/Control Panel?  Mine isn't on the list and I thought it
used to be, but if it shld be is this a problem?

When I make the Media Player as a toolbar, I can't select Play or
Fastforward. The only thing I can select is Volume and Maximise. I've never

when I play a dvd their is no sound. the mute is not on and the volume is on

Crossfade doesn't work on media player 10 anymore for some reason - the
option is enabled but it just doesn't fade the tune out and the new one in
like it used to. I'm playing mp3s from my hard drive.
I've tried reinstalling media player but no luck.

I just downloaded WMP 10, and I'm trying to play MP3 files from a jump drive.
It plays the file, but with no sound (I did not try this with WMP 9). I'm not
getting any error messages or anything, it just plays the file with no sound.
It does this on my home and work computers, ...

I HAVE NO SOUND COMING FROM MY MEDIA PLAYER, BUT THE TRACKS PLAY OK I THINK
THAT THE SOUND CARD MAY HAVE BEEN DELETED CAN ANY ONE HELP ME, AS I HAVE TO
