Not a software question, but rather a method question:
What is the best method of storing audio cds, etc. (protection against
scratches, dust, etc.)?  Jewel case, portfolio case with plastic sleeves,
etc.?

Hi, I wonder if any of you can help me with a problem concerning Windows
Media Player 10.
For some strange reason, all of a sudden I can no longer play CD's using
Windows Media Player. I have tried both my CD drives and various CDs and

I am trying to rip the .cda files from my cd album and change them to
mp3. I am trying to use winxp pro and windows media player to do this
job.
I kept getting the message that I need an mp3 encoder plug-in, so I

I am trying to play streaming audio from the internet and it looks as
if it is connected and playing, but I am not getting any sound.  I have
checked the volume.  I can play local MP3s or CDs without any issues.
Please let me know what else to look for.

Hi when I used to have the older version of WMP, i remember being able to
get the album info off the net easier than now. actully, with the new 10
version, i cant figure remember how to do it.
1- can I stick a cd into the pc and get the info of the name/album art etc?

when i turn on my computer there is a large windows media player box. it is

When playing video files of visulisations in full screen mode on WMP 10 with
Windows XP Home the mouse arrow remain visible even after the full screen

On WMP 10, how can I change MP3 rip quality?  Mine is set at 128kbps
for the lowest, then 192kbps.  Where are the other choices that I wish
to rip at?  like 56kbps or 160kbps?

It's now September 25, 2005 and I haven't seen any solutions posted for
this irritating problem.
My system is running XP Pro SP1. Version 9 was installed and obviously
(since it's incompatible with XP) experienced an internal application

with my windows media player under xp svc. pack 2, i try to burn a cd and it
tells me it does not detect a cd burner.  My cd/dvd rom drive is reading cd's
and dvd's but it won't let me burn cd's.  This happend once before and i did
a system restore to  a few weeks before and it ...

Been having some sporatic problems with Windows Media Player on a
Windows98SE system, and I think I now see the problem: Windows Media Player
9 is installed, but I found, in a separate subdirectory, Windows Media
Player 6 is ALSO installed!
