How can I fix this issue of the WMP network tab not opening and its also
causing other applications from using the WMP controls for network
streaming.

i use windows media player 10 in two different computers. wmp10 has a two
second gap between tracks in one computer, yet plays seamlessly in the
second.
any explanations???

I've set up a streaming server to stream wmv files to myself and few of
my friends.
Some of my friends work at a large company and they cannot load the
stream in Media Player. I'm assuming that this is because of their

For the past 2 days WMP will not play any videos from the internet.  I get a
blank screen and the "play" button looks like it's pressed down, but nothing
happens.  I have the most updated version and have restarted many times.  Any
ideas on what I can do?

I'm stumped.  Whenever I play an audio file in Windows Media Player 10, I
can't hear any audio.  If I play a video file, it plays back the video, but
again, I can't hear any audio.  This is a problem that has surfaced only in

I just upgraded to XP-Professional, at my office,  and I'm trying to upgrade

I have Windows Media Player 10 - I have over 400 songs.  The problem is some
have the artist, album, song title - others only have the song title, etc.
Is there a way I can tell it to update ALL the songs - I want all the
information on each song - including album art, etc., etc.,

I have no audio when I run a video in Windows Media Player10, video is OK.
This also happens with the movies etc., that come with WMP. I am only having
this audio problem with WMP, sound elsewhere is fine. I wonder if I've

I have a nice new HP AMD Sempron 3000+ laptop, and in Windows Media I have
noticed there are occaional gaps in music.. perhaps one per every 10 songs.
Almost like on slower computers when they are staining to process music and
programs.

when i play a movie , the colors are al messed up. The origanal color doesn't
appear. It's more like sephia. is it a setting wich is set wrong or do i have
a bigger problem??

I am running mediaplayer 9 and a Windows 2000 Server box, my MP3s are on
another computer in the network.  
I was listening to music, then needed to stop.  so I shutdown MediaPlayer,
but the music is still playing.  Its actually continuing to go through my
