i know i JUST posted my problem, but after reviewing about 2 or 3 DOZEN others, i have fixed the problem. all i did was COMPLETELY uninstall wmp 10 using the control panel/add-remove tool. 2 items are listed... windows media player 10 & windows media format runtime. i uninstalled ...

I don't have a DVD drive on my PC, so I copied a particular DVD to CD so I could watch in in WMP. I'm getting the audio, but I'm not seeing the video. It just displays that ambient visual stuff. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.

i have d/l "lost " episode on a avi format. divx coding. this file wont play on my computer. wmp10 opens but the file wont play and wmp10 gets stuck so i have to end the proccess. when i try it on another computer, same file works.
