I had been using WMP 9 successfully until the automatic download retrieved
WMP 10.  Since then, the icon and the program have disappeared from the
computer.  I have tried to download the program repeatedly with the same
results:

I am using XP 64 and WMP 10.
When I play my own wmv or any files from another web site WMP eiether "WMP
has encoutered a problem and needs to close." If I run the file from IE or
Mozilla they close as well. Real Player do the same.

hi have wmp 10 installed,  and has worked fine for a long time, but now
suddenly  i have no audio !  this is for all file types, mp3,wav,avi,mpg etc.
the really werid thing is ... if i click the file forward or backward using
the seek bar ... i get the sound till the end of the ...

Recently reinstalled Windows XP from fresh and upgraded fully to latest
updates etc incl MP10.
I have very little installed on the PC, and MP10 is the only (and default
for all file types) media player on the machine.

How do you unprrotect a song once it's in your library? Sorry if this a dumb

I get the above error when try to play any .mpg or .asf files.
OS XP Pro SP2 using WMP10 latest udpdate.
I think my codecs are corruted but don't know how to fix.
Can anyone stear me in the right direction?

I hear system sounds but nothing from WMP...have followed all the suggestions

i had to restore my pc the other day and so had to download windows media
player 10 again... only it won't let me download it, it keeps saying
something like "MP10.exe is not a valid Win32 application" and i have noooo
idea what that means.. i have windows xp home and i didn't ...

No matter what happens, I cannot play streaming .asx
