I was having problems with my computer, so we were about to reboot it. Then my dad backed it up and I went to listen to music and all it says was "an internal application error has occured" and I click OK. Is there a way to get this working again?

I have lots of MP3s recorded at a high bit rate. not I want to save many of them at a smaller bit rate to get them onto a small MP3 player. Is there a tool that can help do this so I don't have to re-rip them which would be a total pain locating each one on CD and re-ripping.
