I have windows Xp service pack 1.
Just recently my music files wont even play because it says my "devices" are
in use by another program or sumthing. I dont have any cd's in my cd deck or
anything. I could play my music files the day before and then all of a sudden

I had an idea for a feature for a future version of WMP.
It is simply a timer option so you can tell WMP to stop playing in X
minutes, or 14:06.
I would find this much nicer than having to play with my playlist to put the

I was wondering if there is a way to keep WMP 10 playing when you switch
users?  If I switch users on my XP pro SP2 machine with WMP 10 playing it
stops when the second user logs in.

I am encoding an screen video with Windows Encoder 9 on Windows XP. After
some time I get C00D0BCC error. What does it means? After that the encoding
is stopped.

I have a new computer with Windows media Player 10. I also now have a
CD writer and a DVD writer. I am somewhat clueless about the

While playing a sound file, song, the player locks up and I would have to
control/alt/delete, end task.  Over time it became worse and now it often
requires a restart.  Finally I uninstalled and then reinstalled WMP 9  again.
Now I've lost my licenses and many of my sound files ...

When clicking on play for an wmp file - it starts playing and stops halfway
through and does nothing.  I have Windows XP and just downloaded Windows

When i add songs to my libary it defaults to C: Drive
I then have to copy them to E: Drive ( my libary ) and delete the ones on C:
drive.

For some reason, WMP is truncating some track and album names to 30
characters in length. Has anyone else seen this problem, or know if there is
a fix for it?

For some reason after I convert the files for burning to my cd, the computer
says that I have a damaged disk and closes the session.  I have 80 brand new
cd-r disks and they have worked perfectly until now.  Same manufacturer and

I am running Win XP pro and am having a problem with burning music cd's.
I can burn the cd and play it back in media player 10 but when I try to play
the cd in my car, I can't.
I have been using cd-rw's.

I'm building an XP Embedded STB-like device that plays MPEG2 files on a VIA
ST13000 motherboard using methods from the DirectX SDK. A codec we have found
that makes use of the hardware MPEG2 decode on the VIA board is CLVSD.AX
which installs with PowerDVD.  Two questions:

there. Why can I not delete it. The file to which it belonged has been
