i have some video clips made using an imate jam, the clips are in mpeg-4
movie format, please tell me how to play them. I have tried everything i
know, but to no avail, even tried contacting microsoft but i guess customer
support isnt a priority at microsoft.

I just installed SP2. Now media player is gone & I can't install. Getting
error msg "This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with
this version of Windows." Any ideas???  Thanks.

My media player suddenly crashes when I try to play mp3 files. I have no
problems with movie files only mp3. Is there any solution to my problem?

When I upgraded from WMP9 to WMP10, the "download codecs automatically"
checkbox in the tools/options/player page is greyed out.  Uninstalling
and returning to WMP9, the checkbox remained greyed out, as it did
after re-installing wmp10.

In WMP10, on XPsp2, the "update codecs automatically" checkbox is grayed out.
I have tried reinstalling WMP10, and that didn't change the situation.  Any
suggestions?

WMP v10. Win XP.
I have ripped a CD of 8 Schubert impromptus (8 tracks). The 8 show up as
one entry in My Playlist as "Schubert Impromptus", and are playable. How to
use this entry to also create Library entries in Album and Album Artist?

I tried one and while it was able to play the clip, it had issues if I tried
to click in different places on the clip.  Sometimes there weren't any but
often it would hang WMP or there would be no sound.  Perhaps it is the clip,
I've never needed an MP4 codec before so I can't ...

When using windows media player for syncronizing to iriver H340 40GB, pc does
not detect connection, however the device notifies of a connection and icon
on bottom toolbar also indicates a connection. Please help going insane.

I am utilizing WMP on Win2000 Pro.
The audio playback rate (for .wma files or CDs) is TOO FAST (maybe about 1
and 1/2 times normal speed)
I had same problem with both ver. 9 and ver. 10

I know how to rip cd's to MP3, but what about my old cassette tapes? How can
I rip (If that's what it's called with cassettes) those to MP3? It seems you
would need some sort of analog to digital converter. Has anyone done this?

I have a lot of music in my music folder all organized media player 10 keeps
making it's own folders inside my music folder and moving my music to those
folders.

when i play a cd in my cd drive it plays fine, but sometimes out of the blue
the cd just pauses for a few seconds and you can hear the cd drive reading
the disc then it continues playing again, this can get annoying, what would
the problem be?
