Need help! Portable connected via usb to external speakers. All sounds are heard, fine. Except from Windows Media Player: File is playing but sound does not get to speakers.

i just received the upgrade to media player 10, and now every time i insert a cd it automatically starts to rip the cd... not even prompting...... needless to say.... it only took a little while for my daughter to completely fill my harddrive!....

WMP10 always prompts for default player even with correct file associations, and will now not play img or iso files, not sure what happened to change this, have reinstalled wmp10, nagging problem - any suggestions? Thanks,

When I rum WMP and access an online store to download my music my computer freezes up. Nothing works no keys or mouse, i've left it for 30 minutes and nothing changes. In the end i have to press my reset button and start over. I have version 10 please help!!!

No matter what type of file I try to play I always get the following pop-up box: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.
