I have the wmp10 in french cannot click on automatic update it's all grey. I tried almost all codecs offerd by microsoft nothing works AT ALL i am super pissed. I cant roll back it says error and stay to wmp10 i cannot open media stream always get the error C00D11C8 ex:

Using Windows Media Player 10, the video portion of a commercial movie DVD plays fine but there is no sound. The movie plays properly on a regular DVD player. Any suggestions on where to start checking. This is the first attempt to play a DVD on the pc using WM Player 10.

I run Windows 2000 with WMP 9.00.00.3250. I listen to radio on it. Works fine all day, I don't turn off the computer, and when I come back the next day Media player says it can not find the file name/path. I then reinstall MP and it works fine. What is the problem?
