Whenever I try to play a streaming video file that uses Windows Media Player inside an IE (version 6.0) browser window, the media player screen shows "connecting" and then "Ready." But after "ready" I'm unable to do anything.

i can play mpegs and other video files using other players, and i also get system sounds but no sounds when playing files through WMP. I think i may have installed something which has changed the sound on wmp. What do i do to re- associate the sound on WMP?

I have managed to get windows 2003 IIS server to stream content stored on a windows 2003 streaming server with SAMI file subtitles BUT I can not get this to work on a windows 2000 server. Is this possible? Do mime types for .smi files need to be added?

hi all, well i have just transfered my old pc to a new case but there is no sound from my speakers which are connected through my amp. i have connected speakers to an mp3 and sound appears. i have tried looking through the device manager but all seems well there.

I have windows 2000 workstation with media player 9 installed, I can hear the sound, but can not see any picture, and I do have correct video driver, every time if I go to web site if they have any motion picture, all I see is black picture.
