My music files are stored on a XP Pro server and I mainly play the files on
my client (XP MCE 2005) via a wireless LAN.
Licenses are stored on the server and both machines manages licenses from

WMP 10. Unwanted ripping of audio cds06 Dec 2005 14:01 GMT2
Every time I put an audio cd into the cd drive, WMP opens and starts
ripping. I only want it to play.
I have unchecked Rip cd when inserted, and it still starts ripping.
Any suggestions or remedies gratefully received.

A number of the radio stations over the Internet call for RealPlayer but
I've been having a lot of trouble with it, and I can't get Windows Media
Player or Winamp to work with those stations.  Does anyone know of a program
that I can use as a substitute?  Or maybe there's a fix ...

I recently updated my media player and now I can play my player but cannot
burn a CD. I could burn them with the old media player. I get "Unknown Error"
and Code ID    C00D11CD.

No error messages appear.  If I double click or right click and try to 'open'

It's doing my head in having the 2 second gap appear in between tracks when
burning off a segued/mixed dj CD or a live concert CD.  Does anyone know how

Problems downloading Windows Media 10 with XP06 Dec 2005 10:54 GMT1
When I try to download media player 10, a message comes up saying "The
software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify
it's compatibility with Windows XP".

when i right click a movie link to 'save as', it then won't register the file
size and therefore just stops downloading beofre the file is complete. i have
tried uninstalling and reinstalling wm9 (i'm on windows 2000) - also

WMP constantly disables all my plug-ins without any notification.
Is there a way to force-enable a plug-in on wmp startup/pc startup?
(Where are the enable/disable settings stored? In the registry? Does anyone
