can media player be set up to delete duplicate files in the library ?
we have lots of duplicates - and it could take days to go through the
library manually deleting !

I had some problems initially using this function with a specific CD and now
I cannot copy that CD to my HD and I receive no error message.  Is there some
kind of log file that tracks copied CD's that is prohibiting me from copying
the CD again?  Is there a way to remove whatever ...

Hello all. I've got a problem when trying to rip my CDs using Media
Player10. I have a 56k dial-up connection. I insert my CD and
Mediaplayer does the CD lookup fine. Then I rip the disc and on the

I have been trying to get WM 10 & 9 installed on the other accounts on my
system, they all have admintration rights and none of them can use WM 10 or
9, now the main account which I am posting from has 10 and all is fine, the
others are in the shared folders so why want they work ...

For an intranet application, I'm streaming .wmv files and showing in embedded
media player. With some experimentation with the markup, I can get this to
work with IE 6 and Firefox on Windows (with WMP 10.0), plus Safari and IE 5
on Mac OSX (with WMP 9.0).

Whenever I access WMPlayer it asks whether I want to upgrade to Version 10.
It connects to the Internet and then informs me I already have the latest
version.
My system is WinXP Pro SP2

when you burn a CD it seems to automatically close the CD so you cant add any
more songs after. Is there an option on WMP 10 that allows to change this?

i posted this question earlier but i dont think it went through but...
when i try to rip a cd to the library it will go REALLY slow and by the 5th
or 6th song it will screw up the song and skip it and stuff with EVERY CD.

Hey, everytime i go to any video file, doesn't matter what file type, it all
comes up with same result......the Media Player just playing the sound of the
file and not the Video. Im using WMP Version 10, any help would be
