I have version 10 of the media player but i cant rip the music from my cd. It
comes up with this error:
Windows Media Player cannot rip the track because a compatible MP3 encoder
is not installed on your computer. Install a compatible MP3 encoder or choose

whenever i try to listen to a radio station on the net that uses media player
i click play then all that happens is it saying connecting to media for a few
mins then says ready and nothing happens, anyone know whats wrong

Thank you to anyone who can solve a peculiar problem. Classic FM from London,
UK streams perfectly via any dialup connection, but not via Bell Canada
Sympatico DSL. All other stations stream fine. When I call Classic FM's
webmaster in London, they tell me their server is working ...

Ok when ever i start Windows Media Player. if show an error message n hten
after i click "send" to sent the report hen it closes.

When I would close the MP10 before it would turn the music off but lately
when I close the window the music continues playing and the program doesn't
shut down unless I standby and shut down that way.  Anything I can do to
remedy that?

When I try to play several brand new CDs using Windows Media Player 10, it
cannot find any of the CD information.  It says Unknown Track and Unknown
Album.  However, the CD information is displayed perfectly using Real Player

I have recently lost video on media player. It will play the sound but the
video is just a black screen (not a visualisation).
I have the same problem on Real Player, AOL's media player and the version
6.4 of Media Player that's squirreled away in the depths of windows XP.

Using Windows XP SP2; WMP10
I "'ripped" many Christmas CD's into WMP10 in MP3 format - worked fine.  I
then created a playlist of approx 200 songs - works fine on the computer.  I
then created a burnlist of the same songs and burned them to a CD in data

While in mini-player mode a small popup window with the
current track info appears every time the mouse hovers
over the player or at the beginning of each track, and
stays there for a few seconds.
